Today I made a beautiful Christmas ornament card for my granddaughter using Birch Press Dies. These intricate layering dies make it look like you spent hours on your creation!
These are the needed dies to create this shaped card.
To make the detachable ornament card, you need to cut out one shaped card base and two of each of the layering dies. I used matte silver cardstock for the top layer and ornament topper, Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 110lb cardstock for the card base and middle pieces, and white glitter cardstock for the bows and base layer.
I used Peacock Feathers and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxides for the middle two layers. I made the sides darker to give the illusion of the ornament being round.
Here are the two assembled ornament faces.
I added three gems to one side of the ornament.
Here is the finished ornament. I made sure that the toppers and the bows line up. I used a foam square cut in half in between the two toppers. I used matching glitter baker's twine to create the hanger.
